Goodbye, 2014.

Hello there!

Happy New Years to y'all, and good bye 2014. (You were a good one!)

I'm always excited for a new year! It's the best time to stop and be thankful for the year that passed. I recently heard someone say, "If it's not for Jesus, it's worthless" - and I pray that's what my perspective would be for this year and the rest of my life. I'm learning that it doesn't matter the season, or what you are doing, if Jesus is in the equation, it's not wasted.

For all the good things, I might as well just say off the bat that they are all completely grace from above. Anything good that comes from me is everything from Him. Being able to do something I genuinely love is the biggest blessing of all.!

2014 Highlights:

- Graduated high school. (it was seriously time, y'all).
I worked on a short documentary/PSA for Mental Health Awareness week, and it won 2 awards. (See here).
Spend the summer floating in the mountains. (Calgary rocks, a post to come on that soon).
I started studying Fine Arts - Photography at Ontario College of Art & Design. (It still amazes me that I get to sit in a studio and draw or make art while others are pounding text books.)
This year, I was able to shoot 5 weddings this year (1 of them was a videography project, so fun! see here).
- Along with that, there was a maternity shoot, engagements, bridal showers, and families. (I seriously have one of the coolest jobs in the world).
Lots of family visited from South Africa.

And now, without further yapping, here are some of my favourites from 2014.
